I recently enjoyed a family getaway at Old Orchard Lodge, and it was quite a memorable experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Kay with a cozy cup of tea and homemade cakes, perfect after our journey from Kathmandu. We stayed in a well-kept room that met our family's needs, although I do wish there was a bit more hanging space in the bathroom for wet towels. The highlight of our stay was the proximity to various activities. Just a short walk from the lodge, we found beautiful beaches, where the kids had a fantastic time building sandcastles. We also ventured out for some sea angling, which turned out to be a thrilling experience for all of us. Breakfast was satisfyingly simple, with options for everyone. Kay really made an effort to accommodate our early start, ensuring we were fueled up before our adventures. Old Orchard is a solid choice for families looking for comfort and easy access to local activities.
